As a registered charity BAX relies on financial donations, and contributions in kind (such as accommodation, meals, transport etc) to cover the expense of its projects.

The simplest way to make a donation is to click on the link below, to make an online payment.

By volunteering

Practical support within the UK

BAX depends on volunteer support, but without a formal office or structure, this is organised on an ad hoc basis. We are not in a position to offer work experience or volunteering on a regular basis

However there are areas where we sometimes need help.

When visits to the UK are being arranged there can be opportunities for students or young professionals to join the hosting team.

Offers of expertise in fundraising, website design and social media can also be very helpful.

The essential requirement for all volunteers is that they share the purposes and values of BAX, as described in About Bax.

Recruitment for BAX delegations

This takes place on a project by project basis, according to the requirements of a particular programme. For example, some projects are specifically for university students, while others have been geared to young professionals or other interest groups. 

The selection of British delegates is made by members of the London-based BAX committee, through personal recommendation or formal application. Applicants are required to explain their interest in the countries concerned, and to share the vision and values of BAX.

The selection of delegates from the Arab countries is usually made locally by the universities or organizations involved in the exchange.
