British participants visiting Arab countries are responsible for their own airfares. Whilst there, they are the guests of the inviting country.
Arab delegations, or their sponsors, are responsible for their airfares, while BAX meets the full cost of the students’ programme within Britain. This is BAX's main area of expenditure. Although reduced by contributions of hospitality and other voluntary help, considerable expenses are involved in providing accommodation, transport, meals and other requirements.
Other items of expenditure include assistance to members of the National Committee to maintain contact with members of delegations through visits to the Middle East.
